In October 2001, the Rob's Barbershop Community Foundation undertook our greatest project to date. We performed a
year-long fundraising campaign for 11 year old Stephanie Brittingham-Branche. Stephanie suffered from a rare intestinal
disorder that left her without both her large and small intestine. When faced with huge medical bills, the family attempted
to borrow money to alleviate the growing hospital payments. Subsequently, the Branche family lost their life savings when
they discovered that their Canadian based loan company was fraudulent and a common loan scheme. In efforts to
restore their lost savings the Rob's Barbershop Community Foundation raised a total of $5000 from Churches and kind
individuals. The Mills Corporation also donated a video appeal to help raise additional funds before the actual transplant
took place. With the help of small organizations, churches, actors, local media and a kind organ donor, Stephanie is
recovering just fine at her home in Towson, Maryland. If you would like a copy of her video appeal please call
410-519-2622.
